Al A'laa
1 سَبِّحِ ٱسْمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلْأَعْلَى
sabbihi isma rabbika al-a'laa
Sucikanlah nama Tuhanmu Yang Maha Tingi,
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
2 ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
alladzii khalaqa fasawwaa
yang menciptakan, dan menyempurnakan (penciptaan-Nya),
Who created and proportioned
3 وَٱلَّذِى قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ
waalladzii qaddara fahadaa
dan yang menentukan kadar (masing-masing) dan memberi petunjuk,
And who destined and [then] guided
4 وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَخْرَجَ ٱلْمَرْعَىٰ
waalladzii akhraja almar'aa
dan yang menumbuhkan rumput-rumputan,
And who brings out the pasture
5 فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحْوَىٰ
faja'alahu ghutsaa-an ahwaa
lalu dijadikan-Nya rumput-rumput itu kering kehitam-hitaman.
And [then] makes it black stubble.
6 سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ
sanuqri-uka falaa tansaa
Kami akan membacakan (Al Quran) kepadamu (Muhammad) maka kamu tidak akan lupa,
We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget,
7 إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعْلَمُ ٱلْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ
illaa maa syaa-a allaahu innahu ya'lamu aljahra wamaa yakhfaa
kecuali kalau Allah menghendaki. Sesungguhnya Dia mengetahui yang terang dan yang tersembunyi.
Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
8 وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرَىٰ
wanuyassiruka lilyusraa
dan Kami akan memberi kamu taufik ke jalan yang mudah,
And We will ease you toward ease.
9 فَذَكِّرْ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكْرَىٰ
fadzakkir in nafa'ati aldzdzikraa
oleh sebab itu berikanlah peringatan karena peringatan itu bermanfaat,
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
10 سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخْشَىٰ
sayadzdzakkaru man yakhsyaa
orang yang takut (kepada Allah) akan mendapat pelajaran,
He who fears [Allah] will be reminded.
11 وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلْأَشْقَى
wayatajannabuhaa al-asyqaa
dan orang-orang yang celaka (kafir) akan menjauhinya.
But the wretched one will avoid it -
12 ٱلَّذِى يَصْلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلْكُبْرَىٰ
alladzii yashlaa alnnaara alkubraa
(Yaitu) orang yang akan memasuki api yang besar (neraka).
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
13 ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحْيَىٰ
tsumma laa yamuutu fiihaa walaa yahyaa
Kemudian dia tidak akan mati di dalamnya dan tidak (pula) hidup.
Neither dying therein nor living.
14 قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ
qad aflaha man tazakkaa
Sesungguhnya beruntunglah orang yang membersihkan diri (dengan beriman),
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
15 وَذَكَرَ ٱسْمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ
wadzakara isma rabbihi fashallaa
dan dia ingat nama Tuhannya, lalu dia sembahyang.
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
16 بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا
bal tu/tsiruuna alhayaata alddunyaa
Tetapi kamu (orang-orang kafir) memilih kehidupan duniawi.
But you prefer the worldly life,
17 وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَىٰٓ
waal-aakhiratu khayrun wa-abqaa
Sedang kehidupan akhirat adalah lebih baik dan lebih kekal.
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
18 إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِى ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ
inna haadzaa lafii alshshuhufi al-uulaa
Sesungguhnya ini benar-benar terdapat dalam kitab-kitab yang dahulu,
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
19 صُحُفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ
shuhufi ibraahiima wamuusaa
(yaitu) Kitab-kitab Ibrahim dan Musa
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
