1 وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ

waalssamaa-i dzaati alburuuji

Demi langit yang mempunyai gugusan bintang,

By the sky containing great stars

2 وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ

waalyawmi almaw'uudi

dan hari yang dijanjikan,

And [by] the promised Day

3 وَشَاهِدٍ وَمَشْهُودٍ

waalyawmi almaw'uudi

dan yang menyaksikan dan yang disaksikan.

And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,

4 قُتِلَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ

qutila ash-haabu alukhduudi

Binasa dan terlaknatlah orang-orang yang membuat parit,

Cursed were the companions of the trench

5 ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ

alnnaari dzaati alwaquudi

yang berapi (dinyalakan dengan) kayu bakar,

[Containing] the fire full of fuel,

6 إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌ

idz hum 'alayhaa qu'uudun

ketika mereka duduk di sekitarnya,

When they were sitting near it

7 وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌ

wahum 'alaa maa yaf'aluuna bialmu/miniina syuhuudun

sedang mereka menyaksikan apa yang mereka perbuat terhadap orang-orang yang beriman.

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses.

8 وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ

wamaa naqamuu minhum illaa an yu/minuu biallaahi al'aziizi alhamiidi

Dan mereka tidak menyiksa orang-orang mukmin itu melainkan karena orang-orang mukmin itu beriman kepada Allah Yang Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Terpuji,

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy,

9 ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ شَهِيدٌ

alladzii lahu mulku alssamaawaati waal-ardhi waallaahu 'alaa kulli syay-in syahiidun

Yang mempunyai kerajaan langit dan bumi; dan Allah Maha Menyaksikan segala sesuatu.

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness.

10 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

inna alladziina aamanuu wa'amiluu alshshaalihaati lahum jannaatun tajrii min tahtihaa al-anhaaru dzaalika alfawzu alkabiiru

Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang mendatangkan cobaan kepada orang-orang yang mukmin laki-laki dan perempuan kemudian mereka tidak bertaubat, maka bagi mereka azab Jahannam dan bagi mereka azab (neraka) yang membakar.

Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire.

11 إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّٰتٌ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

inna alladziina aamanuu wa'amiluu alshshaalihaati lahum jannaatun tajrii min tahtihaa al-anhaaru dzaalika alfawzu alkabiiru

Sesungguhnya orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal-amal yang saleh bagi mereka surga yang mengalir di bawahnya sungai-sungai; itulah keberuntungan yang besar.

Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment.

12 إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

inna bathsya rabbika lasyadiidun

Sesungguhnya azab Tuhanmu benar-benar keras.

Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.

13 إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

innahu huwa yubdi-u wayu'iidu

Sesungguhnya Dialah Yang menciptakan (makhluk) dari permulaan dan menghidupkannya (kembali).

Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats.

14 وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ

wahuwa alghafuuru alwaduudu

Dialah Yang Maha Pengampun lagi Maha Pengasih,

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate,

15 ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ

dzuu al'arsyi almajiidi

yang mempunyai 'Arsy, lagi Maha Mulia,

Honorable Owner of the Throne,

16 فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

fa''aalun limaa yuriidu

Maha Kuasa berbuat apa yang dikehendaki-Nya.

Effecter of what He intends.

17 هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ

hal ataaka hadiitsu aljunuudi

Sudahkah datang kepadamu berita kaum-kaum penentang,

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers -

18 فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ

fir'awna watsamuuda

(yaitu kaum) Fir'aun dan (kaum) Tsamud?

[Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud?

19 بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍ

bali alladziina kafaruu fii takdziibin

Sesungguhnya orang-orang kafir selalu mendustakan,

But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial,

20 وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ

waallaahu min waraa-ihim muhiithun

padahal Allah mengepung mereka dari belakang mereka.

While Allah encompasses them from behind.

21 بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌ مَّجِيدٌ

bal huwa qur-aanun majiidun

Bahkan yang didustakan mereka itu ialah Al Quran yang mulia,

But this is an honored Qur'an
