Al Munafiqun
1 إِذَا جَآءَكَ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقُونَ قَالُوا۟ نَشْهَدُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِنَّكَ لَرَسُولُهُۥ وَٱللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
idzaa jaa-aka almunaafiquuna qaaluu nasyhadu innaka larasuulu allaahi waallaahu ya'lamu innaka larasuuluhu waallaahu yasyhadu inna almunaafiqiina lakaadzibuuna
Apabila orang-orang munafik datang kepadamu, mereka berkata: "Kami mengakui, bahwa sesungguhnya kamu benar-benar Rasul Allah". Dan Allah mengetahui bahwa sesungguhnya kamu benar-benar Rasul-Nya; dan Allah mengetahui bahwa sesungguhnya orang-orang munafik itu benar-benar orang pendusta.
When the hypocrites come to you, [O Muhammad], they say, "We testify that you are the Messenger of Allah." And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah testifies that the hypocrites are liars.
2 ٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ أَيْمَٰنَهُمْ جُنَّةً فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
ittakhadzuu aymaanahum junnatan fashadduu 'an sabiili allaahi innahum saa-a maa kaanuu ya'maluuna
Mereka itu menjadikan sumpah mereka sebagai perisai, lalu mereka menghalangi (manusia) dari jalan Allah. Sesungguhnya amat buruklah apa yang telah mereka kerjakan.
They have taken their oaths as a cover, so they averted [people] from the way of Allah. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.
3 ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ ءَامَنُوا۟ ثُمَّ كَفَرُوا۟ فَطُبِعَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
dzaalika bi-annahum aamanuu tsumma kafaruu fathubi'a 'alaa quluubihim fahum laa yafqahuuna
Yang demikian itu adalah karena bahwa sesungguhnya mereka telah beriman, kemudian menjadi kafir (lagi) lalu hati mereka dikunci mati; karena itu mereka tidak dapat mengerti.
That is because they believed, and then they disbelieved; so their hearts were sealed over, and they do not understand.
4 ۞ وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ ۖ وَإِن يَقُولُوا۟ تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ ۖ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُّسَنَّدَةٌ ۖ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ هُمُ ٱلْعَدُوُّ فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ ۚ قَٰتَلَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
wa-idzaa ra-aytahum tu'jibuka ajsaamuhum wa-in yaquuluu tasma' liqawlihim ka-annahum khusyubun musannadatun yahsabuuna kulla shayhatin 'alayhim humu al'aduwwu faihtsarhum qaatalahumu allaahu annaa yu/fakuuna
Dan apabila kamu melihat mereka, tubuh-tubuh mereka menjadikan kamu kagum. Dan jika mereka berkata kamu mendengarkan perkataan mereka. Mereka adalah seakan-akan kayu yang tersandar. Mereka mengira bahwa tiap-tiap teriakan yang keras ditujukan kepada mereka. Mereka itulah musuh (yang sebenarnya) maka waspadalah terhadap mereka; semoga Allah membinasakan mereka. Bagaimanakah mereka sampai dipalingkan (dari kebenaran)?
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. [They are] as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?
5 وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَعَالَوْا۟ يَسْتَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ رَسُولُ ٱللَّهِ لَوَّوْا۟ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ يَصُدُّونَ وَهُم مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ
wa-idzaa qiila lahum ta'aalaw yastaghfir lakum rasuulu allaahi lawwaw ruuusahum wara-aytahum yashudduuna wahum mustakbiruuna
Dan apabila dikatakan kepada mereka: Marilah (beriman), agar Rasulullah memintakan ampunan bagimu, mereka membuang muka mereka dan kamu lihat mereka berpaling sedang mereka menyombongkan diri.
And when it is said to them, "Come, the Messenger of Allah will ask forgiveness for you," they turn their heads aside and you see them evading while they are arrogant.
6 سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ لَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تَسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ لَن يَغْفِرَ ٱللَّهُ لَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
sawaaun 'alayhim astaghfarta lahum am lam tastaghfir lahum lan yaghfira allaahu lahum inna allaaha laa yahdii alqawma alfaasiqiina
Sama saja bagi mereka, kamu mintakan ampunan atau tidak kamu mintakan ampunan bagi mereka. Sesungguhnya Allah tidak memberi petunjuk kepada orang-orang yang fasik.
It is all the same for them whether you ask forgiveness for them or do not ask forgiveness for them; never will Allah forgive them. Indeed, Allah does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
7 هُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ لَا تُنفِقُوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَنْ عِندَ رَسُولِ ٱللَّهِ حَتَّىٰ يَنفَضُّوا۟ ۗ وَلِلَّهِ خَزَآئِنُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَفْقَهُونَ
humu alladziina yaquuluuna laa tunfiquu 'alaa man 'inda rasuuli allaahi hattaa yanfadhdhuu walillaahi khazaa-inu alssamaawaati waal-ardhi walaakinna almunaafiqiina laa yafqahuuna
Mereka orang-orang yang mengatakan (kepada orang-orang Anshar): "Janganlah kamu memberikan perbelanjaan kepada orang-orang (Muhajirin) yang ada disisi Rasulullah supaya mereka bubar (meninggalkan Rasulullah)". Padahal kepunyaan Allah-lah perbendaharaan langit dan bumi, tetapi orang-orang munafik itu tidak memahami.
They are the ones who say, "Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband." And to Allah belongs the depositories of the heavens and the earth, but the hypocrites do not understand.
8 يَقُولُونَ لَئِن رَّجَعْنَآ إِلَى ٱلْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ ٱلْأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا ٱلْأَذَلَّ ۚ وَلِلَّهِ ٱلْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
yaquuluuna la-in raja'naa ilaa almadiinati layukhrijanna al-a'azzu minhaa al-adzalla walillaahi al'izzatu walirasuulihi walilmu/miniina walaakinna almunaafiqiina laa ya'lamuuna
Mereka berkata: "Sesungguhnya jika kita telah kembali ke Madinah, benar-benar orang yang kuat akan mengusir orang-orang yang lemah dari padanya". Padahal kekuatan itu hanyalah bagi Allah, bagi Rasul-Nya dan bagi orang-orang mukmin, tetapi orang-orang munafik itu tiada mengetahui.
They say, "If we return to al-Madinah, the more honored [for power] will surely expel therefrom the more humble." And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger, and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
9 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
yaa ayyuhaa alladziina aamanuu laa tulhikum amwaalukum walaa awlaadukum 'an dzikri allaahi waman yaf'al dzaalika faulaa-ika humu alkhaasiruuna
Hai orang-orang beriman, janganlah hartamu dan anak-anakmu melalaikan kamu dari mengingat Allah. Barangsiapa yang berbuat demikian maka mereka itulah orang-orang yang merugi.
O you who have believed, let not your wealth and your children divert you from remembrance of Allah. And whoever does that - then those are the losers.
10 وَأَنفِقُوا۟ مِن مَّا رَزَقْنَٰكُم مِّن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ أَحَدَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتُ فَيَقُولَ رَبِّ لَوْلَآ أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ فَأَصَّدَّقَ وَأَكُن مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ
wa-anfiquu min maa razaqnaakum min qabli an ya/tiya ahadakumu almawtu fayaquula rabbi lawlaa akhkhartanii ilaa ajalin qariibin fa-ashshaddaqa wa-akun mina alshshaalihiina
Dan belanjakanlah sebagian dari apa yang telah Kami berikan kepadamu sebelum datang kematian kepada salah seorang di antara kamu; lalu ia berkata: "Ya Rabb-ku, mengapa Engkau tidak menangguhkan (kematian)ku sampai waktu yang dekat, yang menyebabkan aku dapat bersedekah dan aku termasuk orang-orang yang saleh?"
And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."
11 وَلَن يُؤَخِّرَ ٱللَّهُ نَفْسًا إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهَا ۚ وَٱللَّهُ خَبِيرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ
walan yu-akhkhira allaahu nafsan idzaa jaa-a ajaluhaa waallaahu khabiirun bimaa ta'maluuna
Dan Allah sekali-kali tidak akan menangguhkan (kematian) seseorang apabila telah datang waktu kematiannya. Dan Allah Maha Mengenal apa yang kamu kerjakan.
But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
