1 وَٱلْعَٰدِيَٰتِ ضَبْحًا

waal'aadiyaati dhabhaan

Demi kuda perang yang berlari kencang dengan terengah-engah,

By the racers, panting,

2 فَٱلْمُورِيَٰتِ قَدْحًا

faalmuuriyaati qadhaan

dan kuda yang mencetuskan api dengan pukulan (kuku kakinya),

And the producers of sparks [when] striking

3 فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا

faalmughiiraati shubhaan

dan kuda yang menyerang dengan tiba-tiba di waktu pagi,

And the chargers at dawn,

5 فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا

fawasathna bihi jam'aan

dan menyerbu ke tengah-tengah kumpulan musuh,

Arriving thereby in the center collectively,

6 إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ

inna al-insaana lirabbihi lakanuudun

sesungguhnya manusia itu sangat ingkar, tidak berterima kasih kepada Tuhannya,

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

7 وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ

wa-innahu 'alaa dzaalika lasyahiidun

dan sesungguhnya manusia itu menyaksikan (sendiri) keingkarannya,

And indeed, he is to that a witness.

8 وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

wa-innahu lihubbi alkhayri lasyadiidun

dan sesungguhnya dia sangat bakhil karena cintanya kepada harta.

And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

9 ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

afalaa ya'lamu idzaa bu'tsira maa fii alqubuuri

Maka apakah dia tidak mengetahui apabila dibangkitkan apa yang ada di dalam kubur,

But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

10 وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

wahushshila maa fii alshshuduuri

dan dilahirkan apa yang ada di dalam dada,

And that within the breasts is obtained,

11 إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ

inna rabbahum bihim yawma-idzin lakhabiirun

sesungguhnya Tuhan mereka pada hari itu Maha Mengetahui keadaan mereka.

Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted.
